Questions and Answers
Questions & Answers
What kinds of writers do you work with?
I primarily work with novelists, but I've also coached memoirists, nonfiction writers, poets, and screenwriters.
Whether you're writing your first book or your tenth, my work focuses less on craft and more on helping you consistently show up to create.
What if I have ADHD (or struggle with focus)?
So many of my clients have ADHD, anxiety, perfectionism, or simply struggle to write consistently. While I don't market myself exclusively as an ADHD coach, I understand how differently creative brains can work, and my coaching reflects that. I have ADHD myself and show up with lived experience.
What happens on a coaching call?
Every session is different because every writer is different. Some days we're untangling perfectionism. Some days we're brainstorming a plot hole. Some days we're figuring out why you've been avoiding Chapter 12 for three months.
My goal is to help you leave every call feeling clearer, lighter, and excited to write again.
Can you help if I've stopped writing completely?
Absolutely. Many of my clients come to me after months—or even years—of not writing. Helping writers reconnect with creativity is one of my favorite parts of this work.
Do you help with publishing?
Yes—but probably not in the way you're thinking.
I have a Master's in Publishing and experience in literary agencies, so I'm happy to help you understand traditional publishing, querying, and the publishing landscape.
However, my primary focus is helping you actually write the book first.
What genres do you work with?
Literally all of them. I will never shame your genre. I work with people who write romance, literary fiction, graphic novels, romantasy, science fiction, YA, fantasy, all of it.
Do you guarantee I'll finish my book?
No coach can ethically guarantee you'll finish your manuscript.
What I can promise is that I'll give you tools, accountability, compassion, and honest support.
What are your prices?
I offer three levels of support depending on how much accountability and coaching you're looking for. My private coaching packages begin at $1,497 for three months, with more intensive options available.
If private coaching isn't the right fit, The Writer's Way Membership is my lower-cost community option. You can click here to check it out. The membership opens a few times a year.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yep! I absolutely do.
Are you certified?
Good question! I am a certified Law of Attraction/Allowing Your Success Coach through Transformation Academy. This gave me a solid foundation for my work.
However, I hold a Master’s in Publishing, and before that, was a social worker for several years. This has shaped my coaching the most! I lean on my life experience to help you.
Do you edit people's work?
That’s one massive difference between my coaching and other coaches: I am NOT focused on revising your pages. I am here to help you find joy in writing again. I will brainstorm with you but I’m not here to workshop your pages. Part of the reason for this is because often, feedback can cause revision traps where you just edit your first 50 pages over and over again rather than finishing a piece. I’m here to get you to the finish line!
Do you work with all genders?
Yep! I’ve worked with women, men, and nonbinary folk.
The membership is also gender-inclusive.
When is the next bootcamp?
At this time, I don't have another bootcamp planned.
After running several live bootcamps, I've decided to take a different direction with my teaching. Rather than continuing to offer this event, I'm working on new ways to help writers that are more sustainable for both me and my community.
If something new is announced, my email list will be the first to know!
When are you running the next round of the Writing Buddy/Critique Partner Matchmaking Program?
Thank you so much for your interest—it truly means a lot.
After three rounds of matchmaking and matching over 200! writers, I've made the decision to retire the program for now. Matching hundreds of writers by hand was incredibly rewarding, but it also required a tremendous amount of behind-the-scenes work, and it's no longer something I can sustainably offer.
The program is officially closed, and I don't have plans to reopen it at this time.
If you're looking for writing friends, my membership community is still the best place to meet other writers through coworking, Discord, and community events.
Who is your coaching the right fit for?
Great question! This is for you if:
You're ready to finally finish your book (or several)
You have resistance (procrastination, perfectionism, issues showing up to write) and you want a coach who gets it.
You’re really into the idea of learning about the brain science around why we resist things, and how you can hack your brain to make writing easier.
The idea of self-improvement to help you live your best writing life lights you up.
You're excited about finally making writing a priority in your life.
You're ready for a change.
I occasionally weave in tools like tarot, mindfulness, visualization, and other reflective practices. You don't have to use them, but I do ask that you're open-minded and respectful if they're not your thing.
You love the idea of having a creative ecosystem to help you write!
This is NOT for you if:
You want someone to edit your pages. I don’t do that, but I can send you many recommendations for people who do!
You’re super triggered by spirituality, the tarot, or woo practices. You don’t have to be obsessed with it, but you have to at least respect it.
This is not for you if you're triggered by cussing (I cuss and I don't apologize).
You’re elitist and have ever shit on a genre and called it invalid (romance, romantasy, graphic novels, fantasy or sci fi) or think genre fiction is bs (we will not get along!)
